Virtual Reality & Mental Health
Our research group is implementing Virtual Reality (VR) technologies to deliver immersive, evidence-based psychological interventions. Below are some of our projects:
Virtual Reality & Social Cognition
RS2S is an interactive, virtual-reality based intervention focused on improving social relations in individuals with severe mental illness.
VR-Cognitive Behavior Therapy
Our research group is using virtual reality to deliver and assess evidence-based interventions such as Virtual Reality Cognitive Behavior Therapy (VR-CBT) to indigenous peoples.
AVATAR intervention
We are implementing VR in the AVATAR intervention to help in the treatment of auditory hallucinations in psychosis. In this intervention, participants can give a face to their voices by creating an avatar and, during therapy, interact with the avatars to develop more positive patterns of communication.
